Hispanic Heritage Celebration
Campus Activities Board and Student Life will celebrate Hispanic Heritage and Latin American independence on September 30. The morning starts with a sampling of Guatemalan coffee (don’t forget to turn in your Alternative Spring Break application by September 29 – the group travels to Guatemala!) Activities continue into the afternoon with free Hispanic food, Zumba (a Columbian rooted dance fitness class), traditional Hispanic crafts, and information about celebrities of Hispanic dissent (did you know Charlie Sheen is Latino?). Check IvyLife for more information!
On Wednesdays We Wear Pink
Show your support for those affected by breast cancer (lives lost, survivors, family, friends, fundraisers, researchers, doctors, nurses, and more) by wearing pink on Wednesdays in October. More information about breast cancer awareness programming to come.
Free Family Movie Night: Disney’s Maleficent
Bring the family to campus for movie night! In Disney’s Maleficent “a vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land”. One dollar snack packs will be available which include a slice of pizza, candy bar, popcorn, and water. See you at the movies! Check out IvyLife for more information.
