Hi, welcome to Ivy Tech. What can I help you with today? I am the first person you meet when you come into the Academic Advising Center. I love my job and helping students begin their journey on the road to success. I also understand the fear and hesitation that some students feel in starting school later in life, because I was there myself not long ago. Whether you need test scores entered and explained, an appointment with a advisor, or just questions and concerns, I am here to help. Together we will figure it out. I am a mother of 4 and grandmother of 4. I am a graduate from Ivy Tech in 2012 and had the privilege of graduating with my youngest daughter. I am currently working on my Bachelors degree. I enjoy camping, gardening and spending time with my family.

I have a Master's Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. I was hired as an Adjunct at Ivy Tech Columbus Campus in January of 2007. Since then I have taught multiple classes within the Business, Ivy Tech Success, and ASA English Programs. For three years I was a part-time advisor in the Student Success Center in addition to my adjunct faculty duties. On April 8, 2013, I became a full-time academic advisor at the Columbus Campus. When I am not in the office, you will find me doing many things. I have five grandchildren, and I love to spend time with them. Also, I love to play co-rec volleyball and a few years back I thought I might pursue a career as a professional volleyball player. However, being 5' 2 tall and having a vertical leap of about six inches, I decided that probably was not going to happen! My favorite method of relaxation is to go motorcycle riding with my husband. On weekends and during the evenings, you will find us out and about on our Honda Gold Wing, GL 1800 motorcycle. I have a motivational sign on my wall which states: Paint with all the colors in your palette. Most of us fail to paint with all the colors in our palette. We become complacent and only use favorite colors. I would love to help you discover the other colors in your palette!

Hello! I love being a part of the Columbus/Franklin advising team and working with the great students we have in our area. College can be an exciting adventure and being with you all during this (the ups AND the downs!) is a great experience. Education can be so life changing and it's great to see that transformation every single day. Ivy Tech is a great place to be for Indiana students and it is truly a privilege to be a part of growing Hoosiers in their lives and education. I grew up in Vermont and graduated from University of Vermont in 2009. My family is from Indiana and I moved here after college for a change. I'm really enjoying living in this area! I've been with Ivy Tech since 2009 but advising in Franklin just since 2011. When I'm not at work I like to spend time with friends at places and restaurants I haven't visited before, being outside, taking pictures, listening to live music, and going to new places.

Hi Julie's my name; advising my game! Seriously, I love advising students. I have been with Ivy Tech for quite a few years. I began as an adjunct instructor and part-time advisor. Now I am a full time advisor and teach IVYT classes. I graduated from the University of Dayton many moons ago with a BA in English. 30 years later I returned to school and got a Masters of Divinity from Oral Roberts University. Talk about culture shock! But if I could do it, anyone can with the right advisors, great support and lots of determination! I learned firsthand how important good advising can be, so I want to do the best I can, and help students reach their academic goals and have great success! I really look forward to helping each one of my students obtain their degree at Ivy Tech!
