The Mechatronics Institute will prepare you for the modern manufacturing environment. You will learn high-integrated systems using electronics, sensors, motor drives, robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), mechanical drives, and software. You will also learn out to operate, troubleshoot and maintain this high-tech equipment. Through this highly-valuable training, you will earn certifications through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) and Siemens.


Through the Ivy Institute, students will enroll in five 8-week sessions in which they will earn the following certifications:

  • MSSC 101: Safety and Quality
  • Manufacturing Processes/Maintenance Awareness Certification
  • Siemens Mechatronics Certification

How to Apply

The Ivy Tech Institute of Technology is a selective program. Applicants need to complete the following steps before being admitted into the Ivy Institute of Technology:

  1. Apply to Ivy Tech Community College and complete the enrollment steps.
  2. Contact the Program Chair.
  3. Complete the Ivy Institute Application and submit it to the person listed at your campus of choice below.
