New Student Orientation is an information session for new Ivy Tech students hosted by your campus. You’ll get an introduction to using campus technology, accessing student resources, understanding financial aid and academic standing, getting involved in clubs and organizations, and more—everything you need to help you prepare for your first day of classes.
At orientation, you can:
Orientation is focused on students. Parents, spouses, friends, or other adult-aged folks are welcome to attend; however, due to limited seating, priority will be given to students. If you bring guests, please be aware of the limited seating. Children should not be brought to orientation.
Students attend orientation after they have completed the application process, met with their academic advisor, and registered for classes. Many students select which orientation session they'd like to attend during their first advisor appointment. If you didn't do that, don't worry! You can stop by or call your local enrollment center to schedule your orientation or browse the list of upcoming new student orientation sessions at your local campus and sign up today. Anderson hosts in-person new student orientation sessions called Project Jumpstart or PJS, which are required for all students to take prior to the first day of classes. This will set you up for success as you begin your time at Ivy Tech Anderson!
Once you've picked your desired JumpStart date, please stop by our Main campus on 60th St. or call 765-643-7133, ext. 2018. A member of our team will make sure you've completed all of your pre-advising steps and will assist you with scheduling for Project JumpStart.
If you have scheduled an appointment to meet with an Enrollment Specialist, they will help you register for your first semester of classes, and will register you for JumpStart as well.

Welcome to the Bloomington campus! Student orientation has been created to help you learn about student life and club opportunities, meet students in your program or major, and assist you with getting comfortable with the Bloomington campus and our various student support resources. You may choose to attend orientation in person or virtually via Zoom. Regardless of your selected format, you will be added to an online module within our college learning management system, called IvyLearn. The Student Orientation Ivy Learn Course will complement your orientation experience by providing you with access to additional tips, tricks, and resources. All learning modules should be completed before your first day of classes.

Ivy Tech Fort Wayne hosts an in-person orientation, which is the last step for all new students to take prior to their first day of classes. Orientation is designed to set you up for success as you begin your time at Ivy Tech. In orientation you will learn more about MyIvy, IvyLearn, Student Success tips, and so much more!
All in-person orientations are held in the Student Life Center gymnasium located on the Ivy Tech Fort Wayne – North campus (3701 Dean Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46835).
You will only need to attend orientation if you are a brand new student and have not been to an orientation before!
