Bloomington— Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is celebrating its graduating class of hospitality administration students on May 9 with a Hospitality Showcase from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will serve as the final project and will be held on campus in The Yellowwood restaurant and patio. Tickets are $40 per person.

Students cooked for The Yellowwood the past eight weeks with a focus on American Regional cuisine. For their final project, each student will cook and serve a menu item of their choice to create both The Yellowwood and Hospitality Showcase menus.

Itinerary:

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Passed hors d'oeuvres, buffet, food stations, chef demos, dessert stations, cash beer/wine bar, mocktail bar

6:30 - 7:00 p.m. Graduate and student recognition ceremony on the patio

7:00 - 7:30 p.m. Buffet and self-serve food, beverages

Visitors will have a chance to tour Ivy Tech’s baking and culinary labs, along with chef demonstrations.

The Yellowwood at Ivy Tech Bloomington is a student-run café of the hospitality administration program. Café operations are a collaboration between culinary, baking and pastry, and customer service classes. Culinary and baking and pastry concentrations at Ivy Tech Bloomington are accredited by the American Culinary Federation (ACF). 

The Yellowwood is located on Ivy Tech’s campus at 200 Daniels Way, entrance seven.
