Inspection - Home Inspection

This course emphasizes the components of a home and teaches the student to grade the condition of the home. This introductory course will cover all aspects of the home inspection process and prepare the student to enter the home inspection field. This course meets the required number of classroom hours needed to sit for the State licensing exam. Approximately 40 hours of the course will be lecture and 20 hours will be dedicated to performing inspections in the field.


COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to

  • Provide an intensive and comprehensive background on residential systems and standards
  • Know the inspection process and understand the role of the home inspector in the real estate industry
  • Sit for the national and/or state licensing examinations
