Property and Casualty Insurance
This course will introduce you to the terminology and concepts of Property and Casualty insurance. Topics include: history of property insurance, home owners policy, personal auto policy, other personal property insurance, commercial property insurance, negligence of legal liability, personal liability insurance, commercial liability insurance, ethics and Indiana insurance laws and regulations.

• Explain Property and Casualty insurance to others

• Create, identify, and explain Property and Casualty insurance policies

• List and describe parts of a contract

• Describe components of auto and home owners insurance policies

• Explain commercial property and personal liability insurance

• Explain Indiana insurance laws and regulations

TRAINING DESCRIPTION AND MATERIALS

Students will receive a Certificate of Completion from Ivy Tech Community College and the Department of Insurance, which allow a student to sit for the state licensing exam. One textbook and a law supplement will be used in the course; including Property and Casualty Insurance License Exam Manual, 7th Edition, Dearborn Financial Publishing and Indiana Insurance Law Supplement.

HOURS AND COST

Your Property and Casualty Insurance training course includes 40 contact hours of pre-licensing education for up to 12 employees.

Pricing includes training administration, instruction, participant text, Indiana Insurance Law Supplement, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
