Real Estate Sales

Students in the Real Estate Sales Pre-Licensing program will learn basic real estate principles and practices to include real estate law financing, brokerage, closing, valuation, management and taxation. The course includes instruction in land use, property insurance, the Indiana real estate license statute, and the rules of the Indiana Real Estate Commission. The course meets the pre-licensing educational requirements for the Indiana Real Estate Sales license and is approved by the Indiana Real Estate Commission. After successful completion, students will receive an Ivy Tech certificate which will allow them to sit for the state exam.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to

  • Understand the practice of major real estate
  • Recognize and use specific real estate terminology
  • Utilize mathematical concepts used in the real estate profession
  • Describe certain contracts used in the real estate profession
