This nationally recognized Help Desk Specialist online certification training course prepares students for a challenging technical support role. The Help Desk Specialist training class will facilitate a higher level of understanding of the vital communication skills necessary for conflict management and effective user training as well as provide students with strong technical foundations.
You will need Internet Explorer 5.5 with Service Pack 2 to complete this course. IBM users will need the following: Pentium computer 300 MHz minimum (Pentium III/750 MHz preferred) processing speed, 64 MB RAM (128 MB RAM preferred), a monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution, a CD-ROM (DVD preferred) drive, a 56 kbps modem with Internet access (high speed such as cable modem or DSL recommended, if possible), speakers and a 16 bit sound card, an operating system of Windows 98 or higher, and Microsoft Office 2000 Suite.
Macintosh users will need the following: PowerPC minimum (G3/300 MHz preferred), 64 MB RAM (128 MB RAM preferred), a monitor capable of at least 800 x 600 resolution, a CD-ROM (DVD preferred), 56 kbps modem with Internet access (high speed such as cable modem or DSL recommended, if possible), speakers, an operating system of Macintosh 8.5.1 or higher (Mac OS 8.6 or higher preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite. If you experience JAVA errors, you will need to download the Apple JAVA applet.
