BENEFITS TO YOUR ORGANIZATION
• Improved manufacturing processes
• Faster output
COURSE OBJECTIVES
• Identify geometric dimension and tolerancing symbols and terms
• Interpret and draft datum features and datum related symbols
• Interpret and apply concept of Datum Reference Frame
• Interpret and draft material condition symbols
• Explain, interpret, and draft the concepts and techniques of dimension and tolerancing to control the form and profile of shapes
• Explain, interpret, and draft the concepts and techniques of dimension and tolerancing to control the orientation and run out of shapes
• Explain, interpret, and draft the concepts and techniques of dimensioning as applied to location tolerances for position, concentricity, and symmetry
TRAINING DESCRIPTION
This workshop provides the basis for defining and applying the industry-accepted design/engineering language according to the latest ANSI standards. Material may consist of dimensioning and tolerancing symbology, dimension application, and limits of size, form tolerances, orientation tolerances, profile tolerances, runout tolerances, and location tolerances. Participants will also be able to determine the most appropriate methods of manufacture and inspection. Implementation of GD&T will improve communication among designers, manufacturing engineers, and quality control inspectors, resulting in accurate use and interpretation of engineering part drawings.
HOURS AND COST
Your Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing course is an 16 hour training activity, scheduled at your convenience for up to 10 participants. 1.6 IACET Approved CEUs will be awarded with the successful completion of the course. Additional course objectives are available for more advanced instruction and industry specific applications. Pricing includes training administration, instruction, textbooks, calculators, class handouts and materials, certificate of completion, and an activity evaluation at the conclusion of training.
