This course covers basic skills for the safe and proper use of surface grinders and associated tooling used to produce precision ground parts. This course utilizes industry standard equipment, offers projects that require basic grinding operations, and culminates with a nationally recognized certification part and exam. The NIMS Level I Manual Surface Grinding Certification is a skills document verified and recognized by industry professionals.

For experienced or advanced employees, Manual Surface Grinding can be customized to include specialized, industry specific equipment or materials, advanced course material, or other specialized needs.

HOURS AND COST

Your Manual Surface Grinding course is a 60 hour training activity scheduled at your convenience for up to 12 participants maximum.

Training includes all course textbooks and materials, training administration, instruction, participant use of tool-crib, activity evaluation, and NIMS certification testing fee.
