This course is designed to prepare you to take the City of Evansville Vanderburgh County Residential Contractor Exam (RSC License) and the Residential Remodeler Exam (RRC License). You will survey the Indiana Residential Building Code, building industry standards, estimating, associated trades, federal safety regulations, and other applicable references. This course will explore the test layout, requirements, and testing procedures and a practice test will be given.

Training description and materials
This course is instructor led, utilizing International Code textbooks for reference. These references are included with the course, and may include a sampling of the following texts:
• International Residential Code for One-and-Two-Family Dwellings, 2003 Edition or higher International Code Council
• 29CFR(Code of Federal Regulations) 1926 OSHA (Construction Industry), 2004 edition or higher
• International Building Code, 2000 edition or higher, International Code Council
• Carpentry and Building Construction, 6th edition
• Walker’s Building Estimator’s Reference Book, 27th edition 2002
• The Contractor’s Guide to Quality Concrete Construction, 2nd edition
• Modern Masonry, 3rd edition
• Gypsum Construction Handbook
