Failures Mode and Effects Analysis
This workshop will help you 1) recognize and evaluate the potential failure of a product/process and its effects; 2) identify actions that could eliminate or reduce the chance of the potential failure occurring; and 3) document the process. The intent of FMEA is to enhance the design process and provide greater customer confidence with the product being supplied and thereby increase customer satisfaction.

BENEFITS TO YOUR ORGANIZATION

• Improved customer satisfaction

• Enhanced product

• Advanced production processes

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• Understanding FMEA terminology and definitions

• Determine functions and failure modes for products and/or processes

• Distinguish causes, failure modes, and effects

• Understand and rank severity, occurrence, and detection

• Complete all steps of a process and/or product FMEA

• Identify key FMEA outputs and it relationship to control plans

TRAINING DESCRIPTION

This workshop provides an introduction to Failures Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) based on the Automotive Industry Action Group Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis manual. FMEA is a technique intended to identify and evaluate the potential failure of a product design or process design and to determine actions that could eliminate or reduce the chance of the potential failure occurring.

Learning how to conduct FMEAs will enable you to develop more reliable product designs and production processes. Active learning activities are used throughout the seminar to build participants’ skills and knowledge.
