AWARDS AND RECOGNITION
Glenn W. and Mary Catherine Sample for Excellence in Instruction Award
Established in 1983, one instructor from each region are selected annually to receive the President's Award for Instruction.  One of these instructors is chosen to receive the Glenn W. and Mary Catherine Sample Award for Excellence in Instruction, the College's highest honor for faculty.
 
Alumni Achievement Award
Since 1998, the Ivy Tech Alumni Association recognizes outstanding alumni with the Alumni Achievement Award. The association's highest honor reserved solely for its alumni, the award provides recognition for outstanding achievements by the men and women of Ivy Tech Community College. Recipients are recognized for their personal and professional achievements.
 
Benefactor of the Year Award
Annually, fourteen individuals, businesses or foundations are recognized for their financial gifts, volunteer leadership and Ivy Tech advocates.
 
Phi Theta Kappa/All-Indiana Academic Team
Phi Theta Kappa was established nationally to recognize scholarship among associate-degree students.  The Indiana Region was officially recognized as the 27th region in March 1992.  In 1994, Phi Theta Kappa initiated the All-State Academic Team program.  The first All-Indiana Academic Team for Two-Year Colleges ceremony was held in February 1995.  The program was the dream of Dr. Eugene Spiess, the Indiana Regional Coordinator at that time.
