  • (1961) Post high school study commission studied the number of Indiana students not going to college immediately following high school
  • (1963) Recommended statewide vocational-technical college (commerce, industry, agriculture, labor, education and public at large)
  • (1963) Approved Ivy Tech Vocational Technical College – 13 regions approved
  • (1966) First president appointed
  • (1969)  Ivy Tech Foundation established
  • (1988) Ivy Tech celebrates 25th Anniversary
  • (1991) Ivy Tech accredited as one college
  • (1993) Ivy Tech Alumni Association established
  • (1995) Becomes Ivy Tech State College
  • (2005) Becomes Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana
