This course will help students obtain strong computer and bookkeeping skills to be used in an office environment. It will give them an understanding of cash flow and audit trails as well as a full comprehension of the importance of the revenue cycle and the maintenance of human resource information. Students will gain a clear understanding of the need to successfully transmit critical information to the decision makers within the administration. Instruction will stress the importance of maintaining consistent and accurate files and records within the office. The course will conclude with a "capstone" review week including preparation for the Intuit Quick Books certification course.

Prepare for a career in the high-demand field of bookkeeping and accounting as you master QuickBooks 2010 - the leading financial software tool for small businesses. Even if you have no bookkeeping experience, this program will prepare you to do professional accounting for a small business.

By the time you've completed these simple, step-by-step lessons, you'll be an expert in everything from basic accounting to double-entry bookkeeping. Hands-on activities will help you learn skills including planning a budget, managing a payroll, and handling accounts receivable and accounts payable. In addition, you'll gain the knowledge you need to ensure that your accounting methods meet all legal standards.

QuickBooks Pro 2010 software and the textbook Bookkeeping Made Simple are included in the cost of the program.

Upon registering, you're given and initial six months to complete this program.  Should you need more time beyond the six months, an extension of six months is available at no additional cost.
