Registration Checklist
  1. Submit the Application for Admission.
    You can apply online or submit a hard copy.
  2. Submit all high school, GED and official college transcripts.
  3. Complete the COMPASS assessment.*
  4. Finalize your financial aid arrangements.
  5. Register for classes:
    1. Using the Campus Connect web portal.
    2. Phone registration via STARS: 1-877-IVY-TECH
    3. Walk-in registration is available on campus.
  6. Pay tuition and fees, and buy your books.
  7. Begin classes!

Currently Enrolled Students

The early bird catches the worm! If you enroll early, you will get first choice on all your classes! Make an appointment with your advisor by scheduling an appointment online through the Appointment Manager.

Register for your classes through Campus Connect.

Walk-in registration is available on campus.

Transfer Students

If you are transferring to Ivy Tech permanently, please submit official transcripts from all other colleges attended to the Registrar's Office.

Be Assessed For Placement

Assessment is used to help determine what classes a student will take initially and is required before a student can register for most classes. Assessment is not an entrance exam; there is no entrance exam at Ivy Tech Community College! Students who have prior college experience that included math and/or English classes or who have ACT or SAT scores that are less than 4 years old should contact the Admissions Office to have this information evaluated to determine if it can substitute for some or all of the assessment. Students without prior college experience or ACT/SAT scores take a free placement assessment. To schedule a placement assessment or for more information contact the Admissions Office.
