Distance Education At Ivy Tech we are committed to removing the barriers between you and your education. Sometimes coming to campus isn't possible, but don’t let that keep you from pursuing your degree. Online classes make going to college possible, regardless of your schedule.

What are the benefits of taking classes online?

Online classes fit any schedule!
Take classes from the comfort of your home.
In Ivy Tech online classes you will have instructors who are trained in teaching online instruction.
The class sizes are small, and you will get to know your other students and exchange ideas electronically.

What can I study through online courses?
All 23 Ivy Tech campuses offer online courses. In fact, you can do more than just take a class – you can earn a degree through online learning;

Ivy Tech offers these degrees online:

Accounting
Business administration
Computer information systems
Criminal Justice
Design technology
Early childhood education (There are practicum courses in the program that cannnot be taken online.)
General studies
Human services (This program has two courses that must be taken in the traditional classroom - HMS 103 and HMS 206. There also is an internship requirement that cannot be taken online.)
Library technical assistant
Office administration
Paralegal studies (offered via two-way video)
