Guidelines for Testing

  • Students must schedule appointments for exams through the test scheduling system. No one tests without an appointment. If you have a problem, please call the office.
  • A picture ID is required for identification before taking a test.
  • It is important that you know your course number, exam name/number and instructor's name.
  • No food is allowed in the testing room.
  • No drinks except water are allowed in the testing room.
  • No children are allowed in the testing room or are to be left unattended unless they are supervised by an adult.
  • All electronic devices not allowed for an exam must be turned off and stored in a locker.
  • Any belongings not related to the test must be stored in a locker.
  • If your belongings do not fit in a locker, you must take them to your car before the exam. The Ivy Tech Online Office is not responsible for belongings left outside the lockers.
  • If your instructor allows the use of a standard or scientific calculator, you may use your own. However, if your instructor allows a graphing calculator to be used for your exam, you must use one provided by our office.
  • If you are unable to come in for your appointment, please make sure you delete your appointment



Test Scheduling

Creating Your Appointment on the Ivy Tech Online Test Scheduling System

  1. Ivy Tech Students: Go to the homepage of Campus Connect and on the left side of the page under Quick Links, click on “Schedule Test Appointment.” Log in with Campus Connect username and password at “Student Login.”
    Non-Ivy Tech Students will go to ivytech.edu/schedulenow and will have to register on “Non-Student Login.”
  2. Under Campus select “Fort Wayne DE.”
  3. Type in either Distance Ed or Make Up for the exam name. This will give you the option to pick the amount of time allowed for exam. You can only reserve up to a two hour time slot. If you are allowed more than two hours you will be given the full time, but you will need to schedule your appointment early in the day.
  4. Answer Yes or No to time selected and continue to next step.
  5. Type Course ID and then select from list of courses (Example-HIST 102).
  6. Type Instructor’s Name, starting with last name, then select your instructor.
  7. Click on the red box and it will open the calendar, arrow to the month you want and then select a day on the calendar. Click on “Check Availability.”
  8. Arrow down to see available times on the date you selected and pick a time.  This will be the start time of your appointment. Click “Submit My Appointment Request.” Your appointment is Pending.
  9. You will receive an email stating that the testing center will review your appointment and email you within 48 hours to confirm or decline your appointment.

Rescheduling or Canceling Your Appointment on the Ivy Tech Online Test Scheduling System

  1. Go to the homepage of Campus Connect and on the left side of the page under Quick Links, click on “Schedule Test Appointment.” Log in with Campus Connect username and password at “Student Login.”
  2. On the left side under “Appointments”, click on “List” and previously made appointments will be listed.  Under “Actions” arrow to Reschedule or Cancel to select option you need

NOTE: Testing times are subject to change based upon campus hours of operation and proctor availability. Between semesters and holiday breaks the office and testing hours are 8am-5pm.

Wednesday

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Thursday

11:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Friday

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.


Proctored Testing

For proctored testing, students are required to submit information to his/her instructor so that exams can be received by the Distance Education office in a timely manner. To do so, submit the following information to your instructor if your class requires a proctored exam.
