Volunteering is a great way to be deeply involved in your community, make new friends, and have meaningful experiences. Furthermore, it’s a great way to develop your professional networks, build skills, and have experiences that will add to your resume!

If you are interested in helping your community and just need to figure out how, please contact us! We know of various organizations that you can volunteer at. Also, our annual Fall and Spring Volunteer Fairs provide a great chance to meet representatives of various organizations.

Alternative Spring Break Programs (ASB)
Ivy Tech Community College is committed to service within the community and beyond. Our first trip was over Spring Break 2007 and students traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to help repair the damage done by Hurricane Katrina. The second trip was focused on the issue of homelessness and was in Washington, D.C. over Spring Break 2009. March 4-9, 2012, we traveled again to New Orleans to do a variety of community service activities and tour the area.
