Description: This seminar is an introduction to the various skills of basic supervision. Although the skills require significantly more development and discussion, and there are many other skills a supervisor needs to master, the purpose of the seminar is to provide a basic knowledge of each of these skills: planning, organizing, motivating and coping with workplace dynamics.

Adaptability & Flexibility SUPV CMG1
Description: You cannot ignore changing situations. If you try, change will catch you off guard and knock you off balance. Getting angry will not make change go away; anger will make the situation worse. Wishing that things would go back to what they were is a waste of time; time spent talking about the good old days will not get them back and they probably were not that good anyway. You cannot run away, there is no place that is beyond the reach of change.

Residential/Remodeler Contractor Test Preparation Course MFIT REM1

Microsoft Word 2010 Level 3
Description: Users who are familiar with Word 2010 will add advanced knowledge as you create forms and templates, outlines and more. When you are finished, you will be able to set up both form letters and labels using Mail Merge. You will learn to share documents while tracking changes and accepting or rejecting them. You will move on to inserting Hyperlinks to their documents. Learn to customize the Ribbon to suit yourself and how to recover lost documents. Microsoft Excel 2010 Level 1
Description: Microsoft Excel 2010 Level I provides students a firm grounding in the fundamental features of the program. It introduces basic spreadsheet concepts such as cells, rows, columns, formatting, saving, and printing, and helps users transitioning from older versions to understand the menus and features that are new or enhanced in Excel 2010. At the completion of this course, students will be able to start Microsoft Excel 2010, create and edit a simple spreadsheet, save it in the desired file format, change fonts, and print the spreadsheet.

Microsoft Excel 2010 Level 2
Description: Microsoft Excel 2010 Level II builds on the skills taught in Microsoft Excel 2010 Level I. In this course, students learn enhanced techniques for entering and editing text and numbers, the use of templates, renaming, the most popular Auto formulas, more cell and column format features, additional workbook print and publishing features, and how to make sure a worksheet saved to the older Excel 97-2003 format is valid. At the completion of this course, students will be able to add formulas to their worksheet, change its format, specify custom areas for printing, and check compatibility with older versions of Excel.

Microsoft Excel 2010 Level 3
Description: Microsoft Excel 2010 Level III builds on the skills taught in Microsoft Excel 2010 Level I and Level II classes. In this course, students learn how to work with individual cells for styles and formula content, filter the contents of a spreadsheet, create and edit charts, perform statistical functions, sort worksheets, and work with pivot tables. At the completion of this course, students will be able to customize cell appearance, understand and use different types of cell addresses as needed, create and edit charts and pivot tables, and sort worksheets. The resulting worksheets become powerful analysis and presentation tools.

Microsoft Access 2010 Level 1
Description: Learn Access terminology, how to develop and document a database as well as learning how to create a simple parameter query. Participants will also learn how to create a very basic form and report using Access Wizards. A case study will be used throughout the class to enhance real world application and learning.

Microsoft Access 2010 Level 2
Description: In level 2, the participants will begin creating complex forms and reports that are relevant to the case study being used in class. Participants will work through the case study issues to discover what forms and reports will be needed and will be working with the instructor to develop a positive thought process on how to develop these forms and reports which they will create. Participants will also learn, along the way, how to create a basic macro that will be used in their forms.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Level 1
Description: See how easy it is to create a customized presentation as you are introduced to PowerPoint 2010. Begin with the Ribbon, Quick Access Toolbar and the Mini-toolbar. Move on to different views while creating a simple presentation containing objects, shapes and text boxes. Next, add pictures and ClipArt to some of the slides. To make your presentation more interesting to the viewer, you will learn how to add slide transitions and animation. Speaker notes will help when using the presentation with a live audience. You will also learn how to print both the slides and handouts.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Level 2
Description: Add to your PowerPoint 2010 expertise with the sessions in this class. You will learn to customize the Ribbon to include the commands used most often as you rearrange the tabs to suit yourself. You will use Slide Master to give a uniform look to your presentation. Use advanced features to divide a presentation into sections for different audiences. Link slides to other slides or even other presentations. Create a photo album with pictures on your computer then loop it for a continuous show. Other topics covered include using Highlighters to draw on a slide, using grids to line up objects. Use advanced transitions and animations then secure your slide show from unauthorized editing.

ServSafe Certification Course HOTO CPF2
Description: ServSafe is a nationally recognized food safety program developed by the foodservice industry. Indiana law requires food borne illness protection training of at least one food handler per establishment. ServSafe is the most universally recognized food handler certification course accepted by the state, county, and municipal health authorities that require sanitation training of foodservice managers. The examination is one of only three exams that meet the Indiana certification requirements. Advance study is recommended. Registration one week prior to class is required to receive manual in advance. Two pieces of identification required to take exam including one photo I.D. with signature. The exam is given following the end of class time.

Description: This IDEM approved course was designed specifically for wastewater professionals to maintain their operator permits. Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Prerequisite: A high school diploma or GED is required to sit for the PCB or ExCPT exam.
Description: Ivy Tech Evansville is an approved training site for Pharmacy Technician by the Indiana Board of Pharmacy. This comprehensive 48-hour course will train the students to understand duties and responsibilities related to the pharmacy technician position. Topics covered include: technical skills, working knowledge of pharmaceutical- medical terminology; abbreviations; symbols commonly used in prescriptions and drug orders; general storage; packaging labeling; drug purchasing; inventory control; and record keeping functions. Students will learn calculations for dosage and working knowledge of billing and third-party reimbursement. Possible job-shadowing: four hours at a local retail pharmacy and/or four hours at a hospital based on availability. This course prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board's PTCB exam or EXCPT exam.
