The mission of the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Alumni Association is to create, foster and nurture mutually beneficial relationships between the College, its alumni and its friends. Upon graduation from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, all students become members of the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana Alumni Association. Membership is also open to anyone who has attended Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana as a registered student or has provided support to Ivy Tech. There are no dues for membership. Qualifications for scholarships and special recognition may involve additional requirements.

IAAP Student Chapter is a student organization for students who desire an office career. The Student Chapter of IAAP is a bridge to professional membership when the student graduates from Ivy Tech and begin their professional careers.The student organization meets twice each month to plan and support activities of interest to the chapter members. Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (Alpha Phi Theta Chapter)

Alpha Phi Theta
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for two-year colleges. "The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, PTK shall provide opportunity for development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence." Benefits include wearing honors stole at graduation, scholarship opportunities, transfer scholarships to four year colleges, diploma seal, opportunities for publication, and international offices.More information is available at www.ptk.org

Practical Nursing Club

Members of the Practical Nursing Club are involved in a variety of professional and philanthropic activities. Students participate in fundraising, college and community events, including holiday parties, support of needy groups and individuals, and professional presentations. Students are encouraged to participate in NAPNES, the National Association for Practical Nurse Education & Service.

Southwestern Association of Nursing Students (SWANS) is a state chapter of the Indiana Association of Nursing Students (IANS), Inc., the state constituent of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA).The purpose is to promote educational and professional development of its members. The students work to foster high standards, have input into the educational process, and represent the interests of nursing students to the college.Membership is open to nursing students, and pre nursing students who are in good standing in Ivy Tech Community College. What is the Student Government Association (SGA)? Student Government is the voice of the entire student body. It gives the students of Ivy Tech Community College a way to express concerns as well as their ideas.

As a Student Government Officer, you will play a large part in deciding which organizations will benefit the majority of students. You will also be very active in planning and conducting extra-curricular activities for the student body.

SLA (Student Leadership Academy)

The purpose of the Student Leadership Academy is to identify, up to twenty students per region, who want to grow in their personal development as they prepare to assume greater responsibilities and leadership roles at the College and in the community. Such roles include committee service as members and chairs, as well as preparing to assume greater responsibilities and leadership roles at the College and in the community.
