Ivy Tech Community College has selected Lea Anne Crooks as Campus President of its Terre Haute campus. The announcement follows the College's recent restructure of its statewide system and newly combined region that includes the Southwest (Evansville, Tell City) and Wabash Valley (Terre Haute) regions.
"I am honored to be selected to serve the College in this new role," said Crooks. "Ivy Tech Community College is critical to the success of the communities we serve. Working with Chancellor Weinzapfel, I am eager to develop stronger partnerships with school systems, employers and community organizations and focus on ways to ensure the success of our students."
Crooks has been with the College since 1991 and has served as Executive Director of Human Resources since September 2013. In addition to this role, she has served the College as Executive Director of Corporate College from 1999 to 2013.
Crooks earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education and a Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Development from Indiana State University. She is the current president of the Wabash Valley Human Resources Association, board member of the Rural Health Innovation Collaborative and was appointed by Governor Pence to the Indiana Works Council Region 7 Board. She has been involved in many other community and workforce development organizations at the local level and on a national level was the past president of the National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers.
Reporting directly to Chancellor Weinzapfel, Lea Anne will focus on outreach to the local community, manage day-to-day operations and initiatives important to the region, as well as expanding the availability of the College’s instructional and student support services to the community.

She has a wealth of experience to make sure that Ivy Tech's educational programming is meeting the needs of area employers, engaging the community and ensuring the success of our students," said Chancellor Jonathan Weinzapfel. "I am proud that she is part of our team."
Crooks will also direct the assessment, development and delivery of degree programs, certifications and training consistent with the needs of the community; recommend and/or employ the instructional and support staff necessary for efficient operations; develop, update and communicate short and long term goals for the campus; and provide direction for campus managers and directors.
