Grants are gift-aid, meaning that they do not have to be repaid. This list may not include all grants available at every Ivy Tech Community College campus. For lists of available financial aid opportunities at you local campus, contact the campus financial aid office.

Federal Pell Grant
Desc
ription: Federal need-based grant
Eligibility: US citizen, high school diploma, GED or demonstrated Ability to Benefit, enrolled in an aid eligible program of study.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
Description:
Federal need-based grant.  Award amounts are based on your enrollment for each semester.  You may be awarded the full-time amount originally.  However, the actual amount posted to your account will reflect your actual enrollment for the semester.

Eligibility: Students with a 0 EFC on their FAFSA and who meet all other federal aid eligibility requirements will be considered for this award.  However, due to limited funds, not all students who meet these requirements will be awarded SEOG funds.  The SEOG funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Frank O'Bannon Grant
Description:
State need-based grant
Eligibility: Indiana resident; enrolled in 12 or more credit hours; degree-seeking student; US Citizen or eligible non-citizen, high school graduate or GED; Fall and/or spring semesters (not available for summer semesters)
Application: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be received by federal processor by March 10

Indiana National Guard Supplemental Grant
Description: State grant for eligible members of the Indiana Air and Army National Guard
Eligibility: Certified by the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana and the Indiana National Guard

Ivy Tech Grant
Description: College-funded, need-based fee remission

Child of Veteran and Public Saftey Officer Supplemental Grant Program
Description: State non-need-based fee remission
Eligibility: Certain graduates of the Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home; children of Purple Heart recipient or wounded veteran; children of deceased or disabled veteran; children of POW/MIA from Vietnam War; child or spouse of a police officer, firefighter or EMT killed in the line of duty; child or spouse of an Indiana state police trooper permanently and totally disabled in the line of duty
