Healthcare professionals strive daily to provide real-time health care delivery and aid in health-related decision making. Helping provide that commitment of quality healthcare are health information management professionals who specialize in electronic health records and other emerging technology; education for patients, providers, and administrators; patient record structure and content; data abstracting and analysis; privacy and security issues; quality improvement; compliance of standards and regulatory requirements; support for clinical researchers and business analysts; and advocating for consumers. Some of the Health Information Technology associate degree programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Please check the locations below for accreditation status. Check out the Ivy Tech Guided Pathway to Success (Ivy Tech GPS) icons to map out your pathway for success. |
