| Ivy Tech Community Connect is a comprehensive services program to help keep students on the path towards completing college and increasing earning power through financial empowerment and employment supports. It is a student focused initiative offering: - A student help desk available to answer questions and help plan for the future
- A student coach to help keep participants focused and stay on track
- A student champion to advocate for participants and to keep them focused and energized towards graduation

The CWF offers an innovative framework for how families can increase their earnings and income, reduce their financial transaction costs and build wealth for themselves and their communities. The Ivy Tech Community Connect is one of seven centers in Indianapolis (the other centers include Flanner House of Indianapolis, Hawthorne Community Center, John H. Boner Community Center, Shepherd Community and Edna Martin Christian Center, Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center and Southeast Community Services). | |
| Services provided include: - Income supports: May include assistance with transportation and finding access to affordable legal or mental health assistance.
- Academic supports: Assistance with issues or concerns related to admissions, advising, classroom instruction and grades
- Financial supports: Assistance with financial literacy, budgeting, credit repair and banking relationships
- Employment supports: Assistance with resume writing, career planning, mock interviews and assessments.
What to expect from the Ivy Tech Community Connect: - Each student receives one-on-one support through case management:
- The student is assessed for individual needs and receives an agreed upon plan for success
- The plan is periodically assessed to ensure that goals are being met and the plan is still addressing the needs
- Milestones are identified and celebrated
- Income supports are applied to address immediate needs and stabilize the student’s immediate situation
- Financial supports are applied to build life-long, positive habits and financial empowerment
- Employment supports are directed to create a career path that mirrors the student’s skills, while aligning to a path to high-growth, in-demand jobs
Who is eligible to participate in the program? The center is open to anyone, including students, staff, faculty or community residents. While the center is focused on providing services to students, there is not a requirement for participants to be students. Services are also available to single individuals as well as families.
