Bloomington
Student Parking - The Bloomington campus does not require a parking pass, but highly suggests students obtain the free pass at the Main Lobby Reception Desk. Vehicles incorrectly parked will be towed at the owner’s/driver’s expense. Handicapped parking permits must be obtained at the local license branch. Two areas are also available specifically for motorcycle parking -- on the east side of the building and on the south side of the building.

PARKING PERMITS

  • Only persons with affiliation with Ivy Tech Community College may receive permits to park on campus.
  • All vehicles parked in an Ivy Tech parking lot must display a parking permit by hanging it from the rear view mirror post or clearly visible in the upper center of the windshield so the full permit number and expiration date are readable from the front of the vehicle.  Ivy Tech Community College-Central Indiana is no charge for one-day temporary permits as long as the person is a permit holder.
  • A defective permit should be exchanged immediately.
  • Parking permits should be removed from a vehicle before ownership is transferred, upon termination of association with Ivy Tech, expiration of the permit or receipt of a permit to take the place of a previously used permit.

 PARKING REGISTRATION, PAYMENT AND FEES

Lost permits are assessed a fee of $2.00. If a lost permit is found after it has been reported, return it to the Department of Public Safety immediately.  Use of a lost/stolen permit is grounds for vehicle towing or administrative action.

For further information on parking, please see Safety and Security.

Inclement Weather Parking Plan (Terre Haute main campus)

As part of the inclement weather plan, a "Snow Route" will be implemented during times of adverse weather conditions along the circular drive at the Terre Haute main campus.  The "Snow Route" will remain in effect until all hazards associated with the weather event have been eliminated and the route has been deemed safe for vehicle and foot traffic.  Vehicles will be towed if parked along the drive and in areas that may impede the snow/ice removal process.  Mass notification of a declared "Snow or Ice" event will be posted through Campus Connect and Text Messaging to identify when the Snow Route will be in effect.  Signs that a snow/ice emergency exists will also be posted at the entrance of the campus on 8000 South Education Drive.
