Businesses and entrepreneurs in the west-central Indiana now have direct access to the individual counseling services of SCORE through a new partnership between the Ivy Tech Business and Entrepreneurial Services Center (BES Center) and the Terre Haute chapter of SCORE.
SCORE provides free and confidential business counseling and low-cost high-impact training workshops to aspiring entrepreneurs and existing small business owners. SCORE volunteers have the knowledge and experience to help any small business owner get the help they need.
"The SCORE Chapter 661 in the Greater Wabash Valley is very happy to be in a partnership with the great group at the BES Center in Greencastle. We hope to continue helping entrepreneurs to get started in business and assist existing businesses in succeeding," said David Mitchell, President and founding member of SCORE in Terre Haute.
“We are pleased to have SCORE and the members of the Terre Haute chapter become a partner in entrepreneurship with the BES Center,” said Ken Eitel, Director of the Center. “Their deep knowledge of business, and in some cases, international experience, offers the center another resource to support our client services.”
The BES Center was created to build a culture of innovation and success by strengthening new and existing businesses and individuals through professional development training and services to meet the present and future needs of innovators, entrepreneurs and existing businesses. The BES Center is located on the Greencastle Campus of Ivy Tech Community College, 915 South Zinc Mill Rd., Greencastle, IN.
Founded in 1964, SCORE consists of nearly 350 volunteer-run chapters that are dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business located throughout the United States.
