Ivy Tech Community College Car Show Raises over $12,000 for Student Scholarships

The 6th Annual Scholarship Cruisin' Car Show took place on Saturday, October 18, at Ivy Tech Community College, 8000 South Education Drive in Terre Haute. The car show was sponsored by First Financial Bank and other community partners, with planning assistance from the Ivy Tech Alumni Association.

The rain held off for participants to enjoy a fun-filled autumn day that included music, games and sponsor displays. More than 200 cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors entered this year's car show. Proceeds totaling more than $12,000 went to the scholarship fund of the Ivy Tech Foundation.

Mike Reedus from Lawrenceville, Illinois received the Chancellor's Choice Award, sponsored by Terre Haute Chevrolet, for his 1966 Chevy II SS. Phil Hinds of Collinsville, Illinois won Best of Show for his 2012 Shelby Mustang. Paul Marczak of Bicknell, Indiana received the People's Choice Award for his 2005 Harley Davidson Trike. Larry Earls of Brazil, Indiana won the Alumni's Choice Award, sponsored by the Wabash Valley Alumni Association, for his 2007 Ford Mustang Roush Stag 3 427R. Mark and Nancy Clensy of Springville, Indiana received the Students' Choice Award for their 1956 Chevy Bel Air.
