You can be reassured that your Ivy Tech Group Medicare Supplement Plan (ITGMS) will continue to provide the comprehensive benefits in the coming year. 

January 1 is the renewal anniversary date of your Retiree Medical Plan underwritten by Transamerica Premier Life Insurance Company (administered by AMA) and your Group Part D currently through Express Scripts Medicare Rx.

There are no plan design changes to report. You do not have to do anything to continue your Ivy Tech Community College retiree insurance for 2025. Please refer to the current benefit schedules as the 20245 benefit charts are not available yet. Express Scripts will be informing you about enhancements to the federal Part D programming. You will receive this update through the Annual Notice of Change.

  • This is a good time to be enrolled in an insurance plan that provides coverage in coordination with Original Medicare. Your Retiree Medical plan is quality insurance coverage that provides Coverage in the Gaps of Original Medicare and Coverage Beyond Medicare while providing retirees the Freedom to Choose any Physician, Hospital or Clinic anywhere in the United States. 

     

    The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) has not released Original Medicare cost updates, yet. Your Retiree Medical insurance updates automatically. Annual increases to Original Medicare will result in automatic plan benefit increases to maintain the same level of coverage.

  • Please refer to your annual Medicare and You handbook which outlines the preventive benefits available to Medicare Beneficiaries enrolled in Original Medicare.  Be sure to respect the preventive schedule timeframes for receiving Medicare-covered preventive & wellness services.  If you have questions on your preventive schedule please contact Medicare at 1-800-Medicare or contact your healthcare professional to check when you last received your eligible services. 

    Important, please ask for these Medicare preventive benefits by name. Be aware that Medicare has an annual wellness visit. Medicare (and the retiree medical plan) does not cover a ‘routine annual physical exam’ as that is not a covered Medicare service.
