INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Ivy Tech Community College is hosting a special Tuesdays@TheTech event at various campuses across the state today that will support current and prospective students with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The FAFSA application, which became available for the 2023-2024 academic year on October 1, is used by most colleges, including Ivy Tech, to determine eligibility for many types of financial assistance. Filing the FAFSA is the only way to determine eligibility for federal financial aid and state financial aid programs like the State’s Workforce Ready Grant, which allows Indiana residents who have not earned a postsecondary credential to attend Ivy Tech free of charge in certain programs. View a full list of these programs here.

The College wants to remind students that the FAFSA is free to complete, and some types of funding are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it is important to file the FAFSA as soon as possible.

Individuals interested in attending today’s event can RSVP here or visit www.ivytech.edu/tuesdays for more information.
