Forbes has named Ivy Tech Community College among the best employers in Indiana for the third consecutive year. The College was included in the 2024 America’s Best In-State Employers list for its commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative and rewarding workplace for its 6,500 faculty and staff across Indiana.

To create its 2024 list, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey employees on how likely they were to recommend their employer on a scale of zero to 10. Respondents were also asked to evaluate employers they’d worked for within the past two years, and organizations they knew within their industry or through friends or family who worked there. Responses were then tallied and incorporated into a scoring system, along with survey data from the past three years. Greater weight was given to the more recent data and to the responses from current employees within the state.
Indiana’s list includes 75 organizations and five higher education institutions. Nationally, just eight community colleges made the list.
In addition to the Forbes recognition, Ivy Tech recently joined AchieveWELL, the Wellness Council of Indiana’s workplace wellness assessment, evaluation and recognition program. AchieveWELL organizations are recognized as some of the healthiest workplaces in Indiana.
