BEDFORD – Summer and Fall Semester registration at Ivy Tech Community College is open. Summer classes begin June 5. Fall classes begin August 21 and students should be signed up by the deadline of Monday, August 14 in order to be prepared on the first day of classes.

Classes in Bedford are listed below and take place at the StoneGate Arts and Education Center, located at 405 I Street.

Summer general education courses offered in Bedford are Introduction to Interpersonal Communication, Introduction to Psychology, and Introduction to Sociology. The three introduction course offerings are part of Indiana’s Statewide Transfer General Education Core (STGEC) and seamlessly transfer to all public four-year institutions in Indiana. In addition, the courses are either pre-requisites or degree requirements for Ivy Tech associate degrees.

Fall business classes in Financial Accounting, Introduction to Microcomputers, Managerial Accounting, Microsoft Excel, Personal Finance, and Principles of Management count toward an associate degree in Accounting or Business Administration and also allow students an opportunity to earn a Microsoft Excel professional certification.

Fall general education course offerings include Introduction to English Composition, Essentials of Algebra, Fundamentals of Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communications, Integrated Reading/Writing, Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, and Student Success for University Transfer. Fall course offerings are also part of the STGEC and seamlessly transfer to all public four-year institutions in Indiana.

Fall healthcare courses include EMT Basic Training and Medical Terminology. The EMT course leads to professional certification. Medical Terminology is a required course for any Ivy Tech associate degree in the healthcare field.

The Fall Basic Electricity course is a requirement for associate degrees in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Industrial Technology, and Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology.

Current Ivy Tech students can register for classes online. New students should first apply online at ivytech.edu/applynow and then schedule an appointment to enroll at the Stone Gate Arts and Education Center by calling 812-279-8126 ext. 3 or emailing vreed16@ivytech.edu.
