BLOOMINGTON – Campus Student Life hosted a “Halloween at Home” event this year. In a makeshift “pumpkin patch” in the main lobby, students had the opportunity to grab a small pumpkin to take home to carve or paint and a bag of treats containing some candy and non-food items.
“The intent was to do something for Ivy Tech students, their families and the community even though we couldn’t host a traditional celebration on campus this year,” said Jack Driscoll, assistant director of student life.
Ivy Tech Bloomington partnered with the local Boys & Girls Club to also provide children in the community with candy bags and pumpkins.
People were encouraged to share their decorated pumpkins on social media with the hashtag #IvyTechHalloween.
