Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington’s Director of Career Coaching, Kayla Dusseau, has been named a 10 Under 40 Award recipient by the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce. Dusseau accepted her award Friday, July 22 in a ceremony hosted by the Chamber. Winners also received a $500 scholarship to participate in Leadership Bloomington-Monroe County.

In her role as a career counselor, Dusseau interacts with stakeholders both on campus and throughout the community. She connects Ivy Tech students with career workshops, jobs, internships and more, supporting local economic advancement.

She has been instrumental in the establishment of Ivy Tech Bloomington’s Career Coaching office and has secured community development grants for teens.

Dusseau holds a Master of Arts in Executive Development for Public Service from Ball State University. She is a verified Gallup Strengths Coach, Skillful Indiana Governors Coaching Corps, trained in Dare to Lead, and holds credentials in Career Advisors Essentials and Microsoft Office Specialist. In 2020, she was the recipient of Ivy Tech’s statewide Advisor Champion award.

Dusseau has held leadership roles at WorkONE, Indiana Division of Workforce Development, and Community Outreach. She is an active volunteer for a variety of local organizations including Ivy Tech Adopt-a-Road and Days of Service, Ellettsville Boys & Girls Club, and United Way.
