The Center for Lifelong Learning at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington is offering a new Introduction to Grant Writing skills training class in downtown Bedford, Ind. starting January 22. The six-week class will be held Wednesday evenings at the StoneGate Arts & Education Center.

The class will be instructed by Ashlynne Bender, a local marketing specialist and community relations partner. Participants will learn the fundamentals of grant writing, including searching for funding opportunities and writing a compelling proposal. They will also develop a better understanding of funding sources that may be available and how to find the best fit for projects.

The class is open to the public and is designed for beginners with no grant writing experience or those who would like to revisit the fundamentals to hone their grant writing skills. Individuals and community organization participants are welcome.
