Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne is hosting a community open house inviting the public to learn more about the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC), the on-campus preschool, on Wednesday, Oct. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Student Life Center (3701 Dean Drive). The preschool is run by Ivy Tech students and instructors four days a week.
During the event, attendees can:
- Learn more about the Center and children’s curriculum
- Meet Director Kacey Deverell
- Explore the classroom
- Enroll their children in the preschool
About the preschool
The ECLC is owned by Ivy Tech Fort Wayne and operated as a laboratory classroom for the Early Childhood Education Department. The goal is to provide affordable, high-quality learning experiences for children ages three to five. Students and staff in the Early Childhood program provide developmentally appropriate experiences to enhance the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child through the HighScope approach.
Pricing Breakdown:
2 days per week
Basic 2-day (9-noon) fee: 105/4-week session
Basic 2 + 1 hour daily: 105 + 35 = 140/4-wk
Basic 2 + 2 hours daily: 105 + 70 = 175/4-wk
4 days per week (Monday through Thursday)
Basic 4-day (9-noon) fees: 175 /4-week session
Basic 4 + 1 hour on 2 days: 175+35 =210/4-wk
Basic 4 + 1 hour daily: 175 + 70 = 245/4-wk
Basic 4 + 2 hours daily: 175 + 140 = 315/4-wk
Preschool hours:
Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. to noon with extended hours from 8 to 9 a.m. and noon to 1 p.m. {Closed for college breaks}
