Ivy Tech Community College hosted its 2025 Ivy Tech Day on Tuesday—marking the third annual day of giving dedicated to supporting the nearly 200,000 students statewide, including more than 31,000 students at Ivy Tech Indianapolis.

Ivy Tech Indianapolis received 255 contributions totaling $50,231, the second-highest amount raised among all Ivy Tech campuses in the state. These contributions directly support and advance student success through scholarships, academic resources, wraparound services, and cutting-edge technology and equipment. Every dollar raised plays a vital role in making high-quality education and career preparation accessible and affordable for thousands of families in Marion, Boone, and Hendricks Counties.

Across Indiana, Ivy Tech raised a collective $483,813 from 2,893 gifts to benefit students at all 19 campuses. The generosity of donors helps strengthen Ivy Tech’s impact—both on individual lives and the broader economy.

This year’s giving total surpasses 2024’s results and brings the three-year Ivy Tech Day total to more than $1 million, a milestone that directly supports Indiana’s future workforce.

The contributions fund the greatest needs at each campus supporting student success and powering Indiana’s economy, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, early childhood education, cybersecurity, and Ivy Tech’s nationally leading two-year nursing program, which awards more associate degrees than any other institution in the country.

“Ivy Tech is committed to delivering higher education at the speed of life, and our alumni, students, and partners once again showed their belief in our mission,” said Dr. Sue Ellspermann, president of Ivy Tech Community College. “Their generosity empowers our students and alumni to thrive in an ever-evolving workforce, and their success strengthens communities across Indiana.”

Ivy Tech Day kicked off with AES Indiana lighting its headquarters on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis in Ivy Tech green. On the Indianapolis campus and at its sites across the service area, the Ivy Tech Day spirit continued the celebration with breakfast at all Indy sites, lunch catered by Ivy Tech alumnus Brady Foster of Foster’s Cafe and Catering in the Conference Center and Culinary Institute on the downtown campus and the Fairbanks building on the Lawrence site. Throughout the day, students, alumni, faculty, and staff engaged in activities like karaoke, life-size games, popcorn, rock painting, and more.

"Ivy Tech Day is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together across our 19 campuses,” said Avery Smith, director of development at Ivy Tech Indianapolis. “Here in Indianapolis, we’re incredibly grateful for every donor—no matter the size of the gift—who helps create opportunities for our students. Your support strengthens our campus and the futures of those we serve."
