As we prepare for the Spring 2025 semester, we are excited to share important campus improvement updates. Below are key updates to keep in mind as we start the new semester.

Parking Lot #1 is very close to being completed, and it will be open and ready for students and visitors to park there again starting in January for the spring semester.

This is a friendly reminder that parking lot #2 (across Illinois Street) is for EMPLOYEE PARKING. It is accessible from 26th Street or 27th Street.

Below are updates as they pertain to our Ivy Tech Indy: Reimagined for the Future capital project. These changes are designed to enhance your experience and support our collective mission of student success.

Illinois Fall Creek Center

As we prepare for the renovations to begin, construction fencing will be going up around the building’s perimeter soon, and access to the building will be limited to the skywalk and the Northwest entrance noted with the IVY logo on the attached plan. The skywalk across Illinois Street will then be closed in 2025 as the renovations get underway.

What’s Moving Where?

  • Library: The library will soon move from the Learning Resource Center to its new home on the 4th floor of the North Meridian Center. Look out for announcements about its reopening the first week of January.
  • Student Life: The downtown campus Student Life office will relocate to the first floor of the Conference Center and Culinary Institute (CCCI aka C4), to the right of Courses Cafe. The Bear’s Cave will remain operational at Lawrence, ensuring fun and engaging events continue at both locations.
  • Cultural Center: The Cultural Center will transition to the Fairbanks Building at Lawrence, expanding its presence to better serve our community.

Food Options

With Bowen Commons closing when the Illinois Fall Creek renovations are underway, we are excited to offer expanded and alternate food services across campus during this time:

  • Vending Stations (self-service) offering a variety of fresh and nutritious options will be available at:
    • North Meridian Center, 4th floor
    • Fairbanks Building-Lawrence, 2nd floor

The vending stations will look similar, but not identical to the photos shown below:

  • Courses Cafe: Located in the Conference Center and Culinary Institute (CCCI aka C4), Courses Cafe will increase its hours of operation during the second 8-week term of the spring semester.
  • Foster’s Cafe: The cafe at Lawrence will expand its hours to 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday to better accommodate your needs.
  • Food Trucks: We are actively exploring food truck options to bring more variety to our dining offerings—stay tuned for updates!
