It's finals time, and our staff and faculty at Ivy Tech Lawrence have instituted a new program entitled "PAWS," which stands for "Pet Away Worry and Stress," to help our students decompress during such a stressful time!
On Thursday, Dec. 7, Love on a Leash, a local pet therapy nonprofit, brought its certified dogs to the Lawrence campus' library, where PAWS was hosted. Many students, staff, and faculty alike took part in the stress-relieving pets and cuddles with the dogs Tristan, Honey, Briley, and Coco.
The event organizer, Laura DuPont, health sciences librarian, says they had an amazing turnout and look to make PAWS a more frequent program.
