Ivy Tech Community College South Bend Campus is thrilled to announce its partnership with the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). This collaboration has brought a $5000 grant to Ivy Tech South Bend, aimed at supporting everyday entrepreneurs within the college and the broader community.
Thanks to this generous grant, Ivy Tech was able to host a pitch competition at the end of the spring semester of 2024. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, culminating in the awarding of a $1500 grand prize to Top Layer Drafting, a business owned by one of Ivy Tech’s talented students. In addition to the grand prize, six other participants received various awards, recognizing their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.
This partnership with NACCE not only provides financial support but also opens doors to numerous grant opportunities and resources designed to foster entrepreneurship among students. It equips the South Bend campus with essential tools to support budding businesses, helping them thrive both on campus and in the local community.
For NACCE, this collaboration represents a significant step towards impacting the South Bend region, aligning with their mission to transform underserved communities through community college engagement. With nearly 400 communities under NACCE’s umbrella, Ivy Tech South Bend is proud to be among them, contributing to a brighter, entrepreneurial future.
