Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $11 billion into constructing a data center 15 miles outside of South Bend, Indiana and it is being heralded as the largest economic development project in state history. This Indiana Enterprise Center in New Carlisle will be the main campus for over 1,000 jobs in data services, and when asked how AWS will fill those jobs, the answer was very simple - through a partnership with Ivy Tech.
Eniola Longe, Inside Indiana Business Reporter, shares in this video that the plan to train and certify those who will be employed by AWS will go through Ivy Tech Community College. Roles in leadership training, Supply Chain Operations, as well as certifications for Technicians and Engineering Operations.
