Kappa Beta Delta Honor Society proudly hosted Ivy Tech South Bend’s first Business Etiquette Dinner on April 9, 2025. Held in the Culinary Arts room, the evening featured a formal Italian dinner with soup, salad, chicken parmesan, spaghetti, dessert, and water.
Led by Professor Hargraves, the interactive workshop covered professional dining behavior, place setting mastery, making conversation, and handling awkward moments—all in a fun, welcoming setting. Fourteen students attended, dressed in business casual, and participated in hands-on learning.
Special thanks to Chef Chris and his staff for providing the venue and tableware, Shelley and Emma from the Campus Café for a fantastic meal, and Evan from Student Affairs for coordinating and supporting this event. Survey responses revealed students felt “safe,” “welcomed,” and “more confident in formal dining.”
This dinner marks a step forward in student career preparation—combining professionalism with community in an unforgettable experience.
