  • Practical Nursing, Terre Haute: 100% pass rate among 7 students
  • Associate of Science, Terre Haute: 22% pass rate among 36 students

"We are immensely proud of our students' accomplishments," said Kim Cooper, dean of the school of nursing. "Their success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the exceptional quality of education provided by our nursing instructors.”

The College offers a variety of degree options that prepare students for the licensing exams to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN), or a registered nurse (RN).

Upon successful completion of the nursing program, Ivy Tech graduates are eligible to pursue careers in hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities, home health care, physician offices, schools, and health departments.

In addition to the impressive NCLEX scores, the Greencastle site plans to expand its offerings to accommodate individuals pursuing a nursing credential with the introduction of new pathways.

Beginning in in the academic year 2024-25, students without any prior nursing experience will have the opportunity to choose between pursuing an Associate of Science in Nursing or a technical certificate in Practical Nursing at Ivy Tech Greencastle. Students pursuing their associate degree in Nursing will be prepared to sit for the NCLEX exam to become a registered nurse (RN). Those pursuing their technical certificate in Practical Nursing will be prepared to sit for the NCLEX exam to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
