TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Ivy Tech Terre Haute is kicking off the new year with notable leadership changes. The College is proud to announce Molly Joseph as the new dean of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Sciences, and Tracy Blanc, as the dean of the School of Health Sciences and the dean of the School of Public Affairs and Social Services. These appointments reflect Ivy Tech’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and innovative leadership to meet the needs of students and the local community.
Julie Will, vice chancellor of academic affairs, shared her excitement about the new appointments. Will stated, “Both Molly and Tracy bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for student success. Their leadership will be instrumental in advancing Ivy Tech’s mission as a diverse, open-access college that fuels West Central Indiana’s economy through excellence in teaching and proactive engagement with industry and community partners. I am confident that their vision and dedication will inspire our students and faculty alike.”
Molly Joseph has been a valued employee of Ivy Tech for eight years. She was appointed department chair of Advanced Automation and Robotics, Industrial Technology, Welding, and Smart Manufacturing four years ago, where she has excelled in leading these programs. Earlier this year, she was promoted to assistant dean and has since taken on the management of Terre Haute’s Perkins grant, further demonstrating her dedication to advancing technical education. Molly holds a master’s degree in Electronics and Computer Technology and a bachelor of science degree in Technology and Engineering Education from Indiana State University, reflecting her strong academic foundation and expertise in the field.
Tracy Blanc brings more than 17 years of experience as a dedicated nursing faculty member at Ivy Tech Terre Haute, where she has taught a wide range of courses within the nursing program. She has a particular expertise in mental health, having developed courses and coordinated clinical experiences in this critical area. Before joining Ivy Tech, Tracy served at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in diverse roles, including medical-surgical nursing, oncology, ICU, case management, house supervision, and education. From 2003 to 2007, she led the hospital’s Education Department as its director, showcasing her leadership and commitment to professional development. Currently, Tracy is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, with an anticipated graduation in February 2025, further enhancing her ability to contribute to the field of nursing education and practice.
