TERRE HAUTE – Ivy Tech Terre Haute/Greencastle is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Will as its new vice chancellor of academic affairs, effective January 2025. Julie Will will succeed Deanna King, Ph.D., who will retire in January after an extraordinary 31-year career at Ivy Tech.

Julie Will brings more than 22 years of leadership and academic excellence to her new role. Having most recently served as the campus’s strategic plan lead, the dean of the School of Health Sciences and the School of Public Affairs and Social Services, Will has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to student success, workforce development, and strategic planning.

“We are thrilled to welcome Julie into this vital leadership position,” said Lea Anne Crooks, Ph.D., chancellor of Ivy Tech Terre Haute/Greencastle. “Her vision and dedication will continue to drive innovation and excellence in our academic programs.”

Deanna King, Ph.D., has made a profound impact during her tenure at Ivy Tech, including her greatest accomplishments: transitioning the campus academic programs to primarily 8-week courses in the fall of 2018, enhancing flexibility and student success. King also oversaw the seamless shift to 100% virtual learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring students could continue their education uninterrupted. Her legacy will remain a cornerstone of Ivy Tech’s success as the campus continues to grow and serve students across West Central Indiana.
