Patrick Englert, Ph.D. is passionate about student development, creating a sense of belonging, and creating opportunities for students to thrive. Prior to serving in his role at Ivy Tech, he served as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. He has also served as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, and Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Engagement. As a qualitative researcher, Patrick focuses his scholarship on the sense of belonging and critical inquiry of sexuality and gender. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Patrick holds a degree in English Literature from Western Kentucky University, a Master’s in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville, and a doctorate in Education and Social Change from Bellarmine University.
