Career goals: My career goals include diversifying my known programming languages, continuing to further my knowledge though industry certifications, contributing to open source projects, and becoming an instructor at Ivy Tech.
After I complete my degree: After completing my degree at Ivy Tech, I will pursue my bachelor’s degree in Software Development from Purdue. During this time, I also plan to be gaining on the job experience through a software industry job or internship.

Jeremy Lugbill began his educational career teaching history in a large urban school district in Los Angeles, California. During this time in the classroom, Jeremy established his mission to facilitate high-quality, relevant learning experiences for ALL students. While spending 12 years in LA, Jeremy earned two graduate degrees from Azusa Pacific University including a MA in Educational Leadership. He is currently working on his PhD in Educational Administration at Indiana State University. For the past ten years, Jeremy served in school leadership roles. In 2014, acting as Assistant Principal at New Prairie Middle School, Jeremy led successful school initiatives including Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, 1:1 iPad implementation, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. Academic achievement increased in this Title 1 school while earning a “B” letter grade for state accountability. In 2017, Michigan City High School became Jeremy's home. During this time, the school improved many measures of college and career readiness. The Early College program became the only accredited high school in the region (Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning - IUPUI). While acting Designated Administrator for Advanced Placement Teacher Investment Program (AP TIP), MCHS was awarded the AP TIP 2018 School of the Year from University of Notre Dame. From 2016-2018, the school experienced an increase of participating AP students from 120 to 280; an increase in AP exams taken from 286 to 552; and an increase in AP qualifying scores as well. Currently, Jeremy serves as Superintendent of Schools at Career Academy Network of Public Schools in South Bend. The schools provide tuition-free, project-based STEM education, with a strong emphasis in college and career readiness. Scholars earn their associate degrees, industry certifications and stackable credentials while building transferable skills. Scholars experience a personalized education while focusing on their interests, strengths and passions. “A” rated schools and a 100% graduation rate in 2023 have created high demand for the network. Jeremy and his wife, Kristin, have two children—Lila and Liam.

Area of Study: Associate of applied science in Supply chain management
Career Goal(s): My career goal is to open my own 3PL logistics company. Build it to a global scale and see the way other countries handle shipping and transportation needs. Come up with a road map to make transportation more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
What do you want to do when you complete your degree? I want to continue building on my career aspirations as well as travel and see what the world has to offer. Hopefully, after traveling a while, I’ll also get into agricultural science and build a nice-sized farm.
