    Matt Hawkins

    Matt Hawkins is the Executive Vice President & Chief of Staff for Ivy Tech Community College.

    Prior to Ivy Tech Hawkins served as associate vice president for finance at Ball State University, chief operating and chief financial officer for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and spent six years in finance at Butler University. Hawkins also worked for Ivy Tech from 2010 to 2013, as the executive director of the statewide grant office.

    Hawkins’ contributions in the community and leadership in the finance field has earned several recognitions, including the 2018 Inspire Award for excellence in the workplace and community by College Mentors for Kids. He also was recognized as an Honoree for Indiana Business Journal’s 2020 CFO of the Year.

    Hawkins earned his Master of Business Administration with a Leadership Concentration from Butler University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trine University Ketner School of Business.

    Dr. Dean McCurdy

    Dean McCurdy, PhD has been serving as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at Ivy Tech since May of 2022. He was unanimously chosen for this role by a 12-member search committee made up of Ivy Tech’s president’s cabinet, chancellors, faculty, trustees, and higher education partners after a national search conducted by Greenwood Asher & Associates. 

    Prior to his role as Provost, McCurdy joined Ivy Tech after serving as the associate vice president for instruction at Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC). He also served as founding chief academic and administrative officer for KVCC’s Bronson Healthy Living Campus – a campus built in partnership with regional health care systems and focused on nursing, health sciences, and sustainable food systems. Dean also served as dean of instruction for math and sciences for KVCC and has decades of additional experience from roles of increasing responsibility at four-year liberal arts colleges and universities, including Carleton University in Ontario, Bates College and Bowdoin College in Maine, and Albion College in Albion, Michigan, where he served as director of the honors program, department chair, and as a faculty member. 

    Dean holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in biology from Acadia University in Nova Scotia and a doctoral degree in biology from Carleton University in Ontario. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.

    Contact Info

    Molly Dodge serves as Senior Vice President of Workforce and Careers at Ivy Tech Community College.  In her role, Molly owns the college “big goal” of 50,000 completions aligned with Indiana’s workforce including measuring certifications that earn above median wage. She partners with campus leadership across the state to ensure the College has the programs and capacity to fill the State’s employer workforce pipeline.

    Prior to this role, Molly served as Chancellor of the Madison campus of Ivy Tech Community College. Under Molly’s visionary leadership, the Madison campus was chosen by the Indiana Department of Correction to provide adult education and vocational training programs in fifteen (15) facilities statewide; and the Indiana Department of Education to offer statewide online dual enrollment through the Indiana Course Access Portal (iCAP).

    Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Dodge served in dual roles as director of adult education and director of the Clearinghouse and special projects at the Madison-based, non-profit River Valley Resources, Inc. (RVR). As clearinghouse director, she founded a multi-tenant nonprofit center focused on the provision of co-located employment and wrap around services to families living in poverty.

    Dodge holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Hanover College, a Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies and a Master of Public Administration, Nonprofit Management Concentration, from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. Dodge recently completed a three-year term as a member of the National Advisory Committee on Rural Health and Human Services and serves on the American Association of Community College’s Commission on Economic and Workforce Development.

    Contact Info

    Dominick (Dom) Chase serves as the Senior Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer for Ivy Tech Community College - Indiana’s statewide community college system. Ivy Tech is the largest singly accredited community college in the nation. In this role Dom oversees the areas of finance and accounting, human resources, diversity, equity & belonging, public safety & emergency preparedness, facilities, and financial aid. Dom recently directed the expeditious distribution of Higher Education Emergency Relief funds to support both emergency needs of the institution and students. Dom focused the use of these funds to dramatically reduce the price of textbooks and other learning materials for students.

    Prior to Ivy Tech, Dom served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE). Dom’s seven years at the ICHE included oversight of the Commission’s outcomes-based funding recommendations for public institutions in Indiana. Dom also directed operational elements at ICHE, including finance, human resources, information technology, and financial aid distribution. Among his accomplishments at ICHE is the creation of a student-friendly financial aid portal named ScholarTrack, for students and college professionals to easily access information about, apply for, and administer financial aid.

    Dom holds a Master of Business Administration from Butler University with a Finance Concentration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Indiana University.

    Matthew is a senior executive leader with over two decades of information technology leadership experience in disruptive, high-velocity, agile software development in software and systems engineering, quality assurance, innovation and disruption, cloud strategy, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), IT enterprise strategic planning/direction, and technical management.  

    As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Matt leads a team of over 190 IT professionals. Under his leadership, the college has undergone the most dynamic digital transformation in all of Higher Education since 2019. This transformation has changed how the college delivers technology services and solutions to Ivy Tech students and all of the college’s constituents.  

    Matthew started his career in IT in 1996 during the dot-com era.  He became an IBM System Administrator beginning in 1999 and continued in that role until 2007 when he joined Interactive Intelligence, at the time the largest publicly-traded software company headquartered in Indiana.  As a senior manager on the Software Testing leadership team he provided strategic direction to a team of 160+ engineers and 30+ interns.  While at Interactive Intelligence, he led software projects and teams for companies such as BMW, Kohl’s, John Deere, and many others.  

    Matthew was the Indianapolis Business Journal Tech Exec of the Year honoree in 2022. He is a member of the Salesforce Higher Ed CIO Innovation Council, Workday Changemakers Collective, and a TechPoint Board Member.

    Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  His graduate school research focus was on Artificial Intelligence and the disruptive exponential growth of Information Technology.

    Contact Info

    Courtney Roberts assumed the role of President of Ivy Tech Foundation in January 2022, whose most important function is to provide support for Ivy Tech Community College beyond state appropriations. She is leading a $285M statewide campaign, “Invest IN Ivy Tech,” benefitting all of Ivy Tech’s campuses, serving all 92 counties across Indiana. By addressing the barriers students and communities face every day, Ivy Tech Foundation is making Indiana a more equitable place for all who call it home.

    Prior to joining Ivy Tech Foundation, Courtney served as Senior Director of Social Impact at Eli Lilly and Company, leading the company’s philanthropic commitment to global health equity. She led public-private partnerships around the world – including Mexico, Kenya, South Africa, India and China - to find innovative, scalable and sustainable solutions to drive impact at the community level. She brought these same approaches closer to home, to advance health equity in three Indianapolis neighborhoods by addressing social determinants of health.

    In this role, Courtney also led the company’s philanthropic product donation response to natural disasters and humanitarian crisis. In 2021, this included philanthropic product donations to low and low-middle income countries in response to COVID-19.

    Prior to joining Lilly, she was a lobbyist with Bose Public Affairs Group, where she advocated at all levels of government. She has also served in the administrations of U.S. Senator Evan Bayh and Indianapolis Mayor Bart Peterson.

    In the community, she currently serves on the Development Board for the IU Center for Global Health and AMPATH. Courtney has also served as Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett’s appointee to the Board of Public Works and on Butler University Alumni Board of Directors. Courtney was named a 2018 Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal and is a graduate of the inaugural class of Hoosier Women Forward – a leadership program for Democrat women in the State of Indiana.

    Courtney graduated from Butler University and received her J.D. from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. She also holds a credential in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Fundraising from Florida International University Foundation and Office of Inclusive Philanthropy.

    Mary Jane Michalak

    Mary Jane Michalak serves as the Senior Vice President of Legal and Public Affairs for Ivy Tech Community College. This includes responsibilities for government relations, media relations, internal communications, and the College’s legal case management.

    Prior to joining Ivy Tech, she worked for an education, workforce, and economic development consulting firm where she oversaw business development, strategic planning, and external affairs. Michalak has a decade of experience in Indiana state government. As the associate commissioner for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, she oversaw the distribution of over $300 million in state financial aid to more than 85,000 students. She aligned state practices and policies with federal regulations and focused financial aid policies to emphasize completion, productivity, and quality for students to maximize the State’s return on investment. Michalak served on the federal relations committee of the National Association of State Student Grant and Aid Programs (NASSGAP), and in 2014, was selected by the NASSGAP Executive Committee to speak to the White House Domestic Policy Council about financial aid reform efforts in Indiana. During her state government tenure, she worked in the K-12 education and property tax sectors as well. She also covered education, policy, and gaming news as a state policy reporter for a niche publication.

    In 2013, Michalak received the Governor’s Distinguished Service Medal from then-Governor Mitch Daniels. She is a graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.

    Michalak earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with honors from Indiana University- Indianapolis, a Master of Public Affairs with honors from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two children.

    Amanda Wilson

    Vice President for Capital Planning & Facilities

    Amanda Wilson is the Vice President of Capital Planning and Facilities at Ivy Tech Community College, joining Ivy Tech in March 2015.  She has oversight of more than 6+ million GSF of academic, office, and lab space.  She provides leadership and direction statewide for Facilities and Capital Planning.

    Previously, she worked at Interactive Intelligence, Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield. In her 17+ years of real estate leadership, she has experience in strategic planning, operations management, financial and human resource allocation, creative problem-solving, and client satisfaction.

    Amanda attended the University of Indianapolis, earning a Master’s in Strategic Leadership & Design as well as a Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership. She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with an Associate in Business Management.

    In addition, Amanda serves on the Boards of Directors and on the Executive Committee for the Indiana Construction Roundtable; and is an Ambassador for Build Your Future. She is a member of the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).

    Vice President Diversity, Equity & Belonging

    Amber M. Williams, M.A. is a higher education professional who currently serves as the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Belonging for the statewide Ivy Tech Community College System. She teaches, trains, and facilitates with a focus on DEIB-related issues, psychology, and workplace behaviors. With over a decade of experience, Amber has served as the statewide Executive Director for Employee Diversity, Equity, and Belonging, a full-time faculty member of Psychology, Program Chair for Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Phi Theta Kappa honor society faculty advisor for Ivy Tech Community College - Kokomo. Prior to Ivy Tech, Amber earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Evangel University, and then her Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. In her spare time, she can be seen around central Indiana where she lives with her husband and two children.

    Bryan brings prior experience at Ivy Tech as Executive Director of Project Implementation and Support at Systems Office, where his responsibilities included support for the college’s 4DX engagement. Before coming to Ivy Tech, Bryan served in roles including Director of Strategic Initiatives & Special Projects in the President’s Office and Director of Student Activities at Bellarmine University. Through these roles and others in student affairs at The University of Evansville, Bryan’s engaged with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the student experience. Bryan holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Bellarmine University, a Master of Arts in education /student affairs from Western Kentucky University, and a Bachelor of Arts in communication, public relations, and advertising from The University of Evansville.

    Emily Sellers serves as Vice President of Project Implementation & Support where she ensures the successful execution of a variety of projects and initiatives within the statewide system. Sellers provides implementation support to campus and systems office leaders on key projects and initiatives that advance strategic plan goals, college priorities, and accountability metrics. Sellers also provides strategic leadership for collegewide projects and initiatives on behalf of the college through planning, implementation, and continuous improvement.

    Sellers brings over 15 years of higher education experience, grants management, and project implementation through various leadership roles with the Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP), Complete College America (CCA), Indiana Commission for Higher Education (ICHE), and Indiana Campus Compact (ICC). Sellers earned her Bachelor’s in Movement Science from Grand Valley State University and her Master’s in Public Affairs from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).

    Eric is an innovative leader with over 25 years of experience in Information Technology.  He graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s in Electronics Technology.  Eric began his IT career with EDS / Hewlett Packard, filling various roles including, software development, server administration, IT architecture, and Executive leadership.  Eric joined Ivy Tech in 2013 and has held multiple leadership roles within the Office of Information Technology.  Eric believes innovation and passion are critical foundational building blocks of any high-performing team.  Two of Eric’s strategic objectives are implementing new technology solutions and discovering automation opportunities that will “move the needle” and improve our student experience.  His most recent accomplishment here at Ivy Tech was leading the successful implementation of Workday HCM, Finance, and Payroll.  The next multi-year project Eric will lead is Ivy Tech’s Workday Student implementation. When away from the office, Eric enjoys golfing and recreational outdoor activities.

    Dr. Julius Edwards

    Vice President, Business, Logistics, and Supply Chain

    Julius has ten years of experience at the community college in various positions. His previous roles included: Financial Aid Office/Default Management Assistant Director, Director of the Transfer Center, Divisional Department Chair/Interim Dean over various programs, Dean of the School of Business, Logistics & Supply Chain, and School of Public Affairs & Social Services. In each role, he has shown an understanding of bridging departments and working to maximize student success and the progression of the College’s strategic plan. Some of his accomplishments include co-founding the Indiana Transfer Council (ITC), nomination for the Center for Leadership Development’s Minority Achievers Award, and being a finalist for “Indiana’s Best and Brightest” in education.

    Before Ivy Tech, Julius held positions at JT International LLC as an accountant/financial advisor/business consultant; Flagstar Bank as branch manager/subject matter expert; First Investors Corporation as a registered representative; and Unified Financial Services as a mutual fund accountant. He brings occupational experience and relationships from these endeavors to his current role. He is developing deep relationships or expanded relationships in crucial sections of the Business, Logistics, and Supply Chain sectors to cultivate employer-driven, voice-of-the-customer, and demand-driven data to create strategies and plans to meet the workforce needs of this space.

    Julius has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Indiana University and Purdue University Kelly School of Business and a Master’s in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in Higher Education Leadership from Indiana State University.

    His extensive and successful background in business, his track record of leading change and growth at the College, and his demonstrated commitment to our students, employer partners, and the State of Indiana underscore why he is the best nomination.

    Kathie Fleck

    Vice President Marketing and Communications

    Kathie joins Ivy Tech after serving as the Chief Operations Officer for the Ohio Department of Transportation, where she was appointed by Gov. Mike DeWine to administer a $4B annual fiscal program across 12 district offices and lead a team of 5,500 across the state. Under her leadership, Kathie transformed the department to become a vital member of the governor’s administration and implemented long-term strategic initiatives to elevate employee engagement and improve customer service. She previously served in a similar role with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio.

    Kathie also brings a robust academic and entrepreneurial background to her role at Ivy Tech, having served as an Associate Professor of Communications Studies for nearly 10 years at Ohio Northern University. She founded KRF Consulting, a leadership consultancy representing clients in the financial services, manufacturing and government sectors, in 2011.

    As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Kathie will oversee the development and execution of the College’s marketing and communications strategies, including all statewide branding, marketing and advertising campaigns and student communications that drive enrollment and retention. She will also lead the College’s Creative Services hub. She will work closely with Public Affairs, which will continue to handle the College’s News Media Relations and internal communications.

    Kathie holds a Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University. She obtained her Master of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington and her Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University. She holds an Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America.

    A former teacher, principal and Executive Director at the East Central Educational Service Center, her background in elementary education, high school special education and middle school administration offers a perspective that reaches each building level. When she is not working on making an impact on education in the region or talking shop with her husband, John (also a school administrator), she is enjoying time with her twin daughters.

    Dr. Matt Connell

    Vice President Healthcare

    Dr. Matthew Connell is a dynamic executive professional with over 18 years of experience coordinating higher education, healthcare, and business processes. He is an experienced leader with a track record of successfully directing cross-functional teams, managing continuous improvement operations, and leading change management efforts. Dr. Connell is an educator, professional trainer, consultant, and public speaker.

    Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Dr. Connell holds a Doctorate in Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky, a Master of Physical Therapy, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.

    Dr. Connell joined Ivy Tech in 2022 as the Vice President for Healthcare, where he provides system-level leadership for the School of Health Sciences and the School of Nursing. In this role, he supports over 20 academic and skills training programs across 19 campuses, producing over 8,000 graduates annually. Dr. Connell develops and leads the vision and strategic direction for the School of Health Sciences and the School of Nursing, ensuring curricula and training meet employer needs and support the advancement of healthcare throughout Indiana. Dr. Connell also leads the new program and credential proposal and development processes and collaborates with senior industry leaders, employers, and legislators to address industry demands and workforce trends. In his role, Dr. Connell has led initiatives such as the statewide nursing expansion project and the development and launch of the Ivy Tech Healthcare Academy Powered by United Healthcare.

    Prior to joining Ivy Tech, Dr. Connell served as the Dean of Nursing & Health Professions and Campus Administrator at State College of Florida (SCF) in Bradenton, FL. Here, Dr. Connell managed the development, initiation, and scaling of multiple academic programs in response to community demands and led initiatives to increase access opportunities for underserved and underrepresented populations through collaborative partnerships with community and industry affiliates.

    In 2017, Dr. Connell launched Connell Consulting Solutions, a leadership and business consulting firm designed to support healthcare providers. He combines evidence-based solutions and best practices from various sectors to create valuable tools for his clients. Dr. Connell's commitment to education, healthcare, and community engagement is also reflected in his active involvement in service to the community. He currently serves on prominent boards and committees, such as the National Caregiver Coalition, the Indiana Behavioral Health Workforce Development Subcommittee, the Indiana Nursing Workforce Data Advisory Group, and the Indiana Healthcare Foundation Board, where he contributes his expertise and works collaboratively to address critical healthcare challenges and improve outcomes. His dedication to cultivating cultures that pair access opportunities with resources for success and his extensive achievements in leading initiatives, managing programs, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusivity demonstrate his commitment to positively impacting the communities he serves.

    Apart from his professional achievements, Dr. Connell loves history, music, sports, and traveling with his wife, Lindsey, and their two daughters, Avery and Madison.

    Of the more than 40,000 employer job postings for tech-related occupations in Indiana last year, 21.5 percent were in emerging tech fields that are driving business reinvention, such as artificial intelligence, Internet of things (IoT), blockchain and augmented and virtual reality. As vice president of the School of Information Technology, Bottorff will set the strategic vision for the school while leading the development of new academic and skill training offerings for the College’s eight IT programs and the Ivy+ IT Academy, an award-winning program that provides accelerated IT training to Indiana residents.

    Bottorff comes to Ivy Tech with more than 15 years of experience leading IT systems at Earlham College and public school corporations across Indiana, including the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township in Indianapolis, the Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation in Trafalgar and Hamilton Southeastern Schools in Fishers. Prior to his career in K-12 education, Bottorff was a senior consultant for Pacific Technologies in Bellevue, Wash.

    Bottorff holds a Master of Business Administration with a finance emphasis from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in English education with a computer teaching endorsement from Purdue University.

    Mike has served the College in various roles since 2008. He began his career at the Bloomington campus in a Student Development role before transitioning to Human Resources and eventually becoming the Executive Director of Human Resources for the campus. Mike joined the Systems Office HR team in 2015 and has served in the roles of Executive Director, Assistant Vice President, and presently, Vice President.

    Mike earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Indiana University.

    Dr. Rebecca Rahschulte

    Vice President of Academic Affairs & Associate Provost

    Dr. Rebecca Rahschulte, Vice President of Academic Affairs & Associate Provost, has served in various leadership roles at Ivy Tech Community College over the past 19 years embracing the majority of her tenure in academic affairs as a Professor of Psychology, Program Chair of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Dean of Arts, Sciences, and Education. Moving into campus operations, Rahschulte has served as both an Interim Campus Chancellor and a Site Director. In these roles, she created and led strategy resulting in improved post-secondary readiness outcomes and robust college in high school programming landing her in a statewide role as the Vice President of K-14 and Statewide Initiatives. While serving in this capacity, K-14 campus teams and associated programming cultivated intentional dual credit programming focused on pathways to completion; served over 70,000 high school students annually; produced over 6,400 post-secondary credentials annually awarded to high school students prior to high school graduation. These outcomes were achieved while Rahschulte facilitated the College’s inaugural accreditation of dual credit programming through the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) which resulted in Ivy Tech Community College being recognized as the largest NACEP-accredited program in the country.

    In her current position, Rahschulte supports the development of the College’s academic programs, campus academic affairs teams, statewide accreditation and assessment practices, as well as all transfer/articulation and guaranteed admissions agreements. She’s responsible for leading strategy and ensuring student success and retention across instructional modalities with a focus on leading the College’s centralized IvyOnline asynchronous programming. Engaging with faculty and staff from across our statewide system, she is working to develop a teaching and learning strategy aligned with the College’s new strategic plan, including support for the College’s re-envisioned educational technology and instructional design team. She also oversees the work within student records, including the College’s Statewide Registrar’s Office/Team to ensure accuracy of records and alignment with institutional academic policies.

    Dr. Rahschulte has served as a commissioner on the American Association of Community College’s (AACC) Commission for College Readiness and as an Accreditation Peer Reviewer for NACEP. She has previously served on the Advisory Board for the Indiana Office of Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship, the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America’s Hoosier Trails Council, and on the Board of Directors for United Way of Greater Cincinnati.

    Dr. Rahschulte holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) Degree and a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degree in School Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.

    Shakira has served in many roles since coming to Ivy Tech Community College in 2010;  including Career Services Advisor, Associate Director of Advising, Director of Express Enrollment, and as Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services and Student Success at the Lawrenceburg Campus. Prior to her current role, Shakira has also served as the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Strategies in the Ivy Tech Systems Office. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Communications from Miami University, and a Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel from University of Dayton.

    Vice President of Ivy+ Career Link

    Stephanie Weber serves as the VP of Ivy+ Career Link at Ivy Tech Community College. Career Link is a strategic approach to providing students with comprehensive career readiness competencies in alignment with academic preparation throughout their college experience. In addition, Career Link is responsible for the fulfillment of training, education, work-and-learn, and placement needs of employers.

    In her role, Stephanie leads statewide operations and strategy for the Career Link program helping to build upon the momentum of the 19 Ivy Tech campuses fulfilling training, education, and talent pipelines for employers. 

    Ms. Weber has spent over 15 years leading and transforming talent functions into strategic, lean processes to develop people with the critical skills required for business success. 

    Prior to arriving at Ivy Tech, Stephanie was the Director of Training & Development of Heartland Food Products Group, a producer of low-calorie sweeteners and liquid water enhancers. Prior to Heartland, Stephanie was the Director of Training, Learning, and Development & Community Involvement for the North American Operations of Faurecia Clean Mobility, a producer of exhaust system & component prototypes for commercial & light vehicle systems as well as the Regional Director for a 10-county manufacturing network in economic growth Region 9, establishing a regional learning system facilitating educational & training programs to residents for economic opportunities in manufacturing, healthcare and IT.

    Tom Skidmore is a proven strategic executive with a 25+ year track record of driving value and delivering expertise in the areas of finance, cash and debt management, budgeting, accounting, and operations. As a business-minded leader, Skidmore has a history of increasing operating margin through innovating systems and processes to advance strategy.

    Skidmore is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Ivy Tech Foundation. He joined Ivy Tech in 2013 and served as Executive Director and then Assistant Vice President for Cash and Debt Management before moving into his current role.

    Additional experience includes eight years serving as Chief Financial Officer and Controller for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). Prior to the IEDC Skidmore worked in operations and financial management for a holding company and in accounting at Conseco, now CNO Financial Group.  

    Tom earned a Bachelors in Finance and Economics from Anderson University. He has served on the board of directors for Lynx Capital Corporation, the Advisory Council of the Purdue Technical Assistance Program, and the TouchNet Client Advisory Board. He currently serves on the Emeritus Board of Directors for the Downtown Indianapolis YMCA.

    Vice President of Finance

    William Bogard is the Vice President of Finance for Ivy Tech Community College.  Ivy Tech is the largest singly accredited community college in the nation with over 70-degree programs and graduates the highest number of associate-level nurses in the country.

    Bogard joined the College in 2012 and was instrumental in the creation of the College’s internal outcomes-based budget model, awarding state dollars based on credentials produced. This model has brought equity to the funding levels at each campus across the state. Bogard’s work has been at the center of the institution’s financial stability for over a decade.

    Bogard oversees near and long-term financial planning and management, including cash and debt, and administration and development of annual budgets.  Additionally, his department includes payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and strategic sourcing.

    Prior to Ivy Tech Bogard served in positions at the Indiana State Budget Agency where he was responsible for K-12, State University, and State Student Assistance Commission budgets exceeding $8 billion annually, as well as the Division of Workforce Development and Indiana Economic Development Corp., and Director of Finance at the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.

    Bogard earned his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University School of Business.

    Patrick Englert, Ph.D. is passionate about student development, creating a sense of belonging, and creating opportunities for students to thrive.  Prior to serving in his role at Ivy Tech, he served as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. He has also served as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, and Assistant Dean of Students/Director of Student Engagement. As a qualitative researcher, Patrick focuses his scholarship on the sense of belonging and critical inquiry of sexuality and gender. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Patrick holds a degree in English Literature from Western Kentucky University, a Master’s in College Student Personnel from the University of Louisville, and a doctorate in Education and Social Change from Bellarmine University.
