Career Options

The Indiana State Board of Dentistry has recently (2020) passed a law allowing dental hygienists and dental assistants to complete training certification in order to administer nitrous oxide under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist.

Class Details

Students must be a graduate of a Dental Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Dental Education of the American Dental Association OR One year employment as Dental Assistant
